The boys woke up late this morning. A.R didn't stir under his blanket when I came into the room, and J.P was still sound asleep. I said, "Wake up, it's Monday. Back to school." Still no response. How long are these boys going to sleep in? I tried one more time, "Time to get up." A.R moaned, and sat up, his hair dishevelled. He quickly climbed down the bunk bed, and scurried off to have breakfast. J.P remained sleeping. I knew he would have a difficult time waking up, he slept late even though I sent him to bed early! (Still on holiday mode.) A few more gentle shakes and nudges, J.P finally wakes up, and heads downstairs.
After seeing A.R off on his school bus, J.P puts on his winter gear, and gives me a big hug and kiss. Hubby is home today, and takes him to school. Whew! Back to school Monday wasn't as crazy as I thought it would be. Not until I cannot find my cell phone, and then the house turns upside down!
I don't know about you but I like to have it nearby in case of emergency; I also like to get updates from my family and friends that are on facebook and twitter. I always have my mobile on during the day, and when I don't have it, the day seems lost or rather, I feel lost without it. Sounds nuts, huh? The frantic search begins. Where did I last put my phone? Where did it go? I rummage through my desk, look on top of the piano, and the entertainment unit.
I scramble like a madwoman, up the stairs and into the hallway. I look towards the bedroom. Ah, there it is! It's on the bed. I check my updates. My brother sent me a message.
Yes, all is well...it's just another Monday.
