It Only Gets Better

This is what I did all weekend:

I worried sick for my dear friend, and her family in Chile.

I laid on the couch; my body weak and tired.

I took Tylenol every 4 hours.

I drank lots of water; only to take many trips to the bathroom!

I slept. Woke up. Ate a little. Slept again.

I grumbled, mumbled and sighed.

And I still managed to whip up lunch, and dinner for my boys.

Sounds like fun, huh? Oh yeah.

It only gets better.

I found out my friend is safe, and there was no structural damage to her house. Thank goodness! I have yet to contact her.

And the boys went back to school today. Yay! But left mommy sick as hell!

So forgive me if I don't post in a few days. It's been an emotional weekend, and I need to rest up!

  1. I'm so glad your friend is safe! And also sorry you're so sick. Lots of fluids and rest and get well soon.

  2. I'm sorry you were worried. It was devastating to hear that there was an earthquake in Chile. One of my friends has family in Argentina which is very close and they felt the earthquake a little. Luckily nothing major. I hope someone takes control and starts helping the people there. I cannot stop watching the news. I'm from South America and also have family there....=(

  3. I sure hope it gets better for your sake!! Hope everyone is OK.

  4. Please do (rest). I hope you get to feeling better VERY soon!!! (And I am glad that your friend is okay.)

  5. Yes, it sounds like you definitely need a few days to recover! What a relief to know your friend is okay!!

I hope you feel better soon! Thank you for stopping by my blog and for the follow! I'm trying to follow you but I keep getting disconnected for some reason. I'm gonna keep trying!

  6. It has been an emotional rollercoaster. I have a nephew in Chile, we are all so grateful he's safe and sound. Hope you can "SPRING" back soon :

  7. I'm so glad your friend is safe! Sorry about you not feeling well. I hope you get better soon!

  8. Take care of yourself and order TAKE OUT!!!!

  9. Oh I am so glad that your friend is safe and what a scary thing to go through! Being sick is no fun. Ryan was sick for two days and the all he wanted to do was rest on the couch and watch Elmo.
