An Afternoon Stroll

Yesterday, we took a lovely stroll by the wetlands on the north shore of Lake Ontario. I was very excited to try out my new camera - especially after seeing this beautiful view.

The boys brought along their Nintendo DS, not to play games but to take photos too. They were delighted to see wildlife firsthand - spotted a Canadian goose, a turtle, a red-wing blackbird and a caterpillar! They were a busy duo, snapping up pictures along the trail.

My husband noticed he was the only one without a camera, and joked,"I feel like a mule carrying the camera bag, and water bottles." Poor hubby. I told him to bring one next time. Many times during our nature trek, I fell behind while taking pictures. My companions were too far ahead of me, and my afternoon walk soon became a steady run! And catching my breath to admire this...

A blue sky, a gentle breeze, a meandering path...what a perfect way to spend the afternoon!

Hey, my daughter has a DS Game that she loves. You may want to check it out. FUn and educational. It is the Professor Layton series. Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box and Prf. Layton and the Curious Village.

She goes nuts. They are mind and math games and we all get involved with the puzzles.
