Last Saturday, my husband and the boys went to bed very early. I was alone downstairs, watching a movie. It's one of those rare nights when I get peace and quiet. I was savoring the moment but I soon realized there was something missing.

What's a movie without a snack?

And oddly, the silence was deafening.

I always crave chocolate but this time I wanted to munch on something crispy. I was restless. I paced the kitchen, opened the fridge every half hour, peered into cupboards. No popcorn. No more Easter goodies. No luck!

I checked the fridge again - there's an apple!

Not what I was craving for but it will suffice.

Ah, much better.

What's your favourite movie snack?

  1. i love to make popcorn, and put mac and cheese powder on it. don't knock it till you've tried it. its amazing

  2. I don't really eat while watching TV or movies. My favorite snacks are chips and salsa or chocolate.

  3. I would make sure we never ran out of husband buys it in bulk! If I did not have popcorn, (boo hoo!) I would eat the apple, but I would slather peanut butter ALL OVER IT!!!

  4. Popcorn w/ mac n cheese powder sounds delicious!

Rice cakes, chips w/salsa...I'm getting hungry!

Never tried peanut butter w/ apple..interesting!:)

  5. Umm...can a snack go with reading? blogs? like now? I'd go for popcorn with the movie, and then I'd want chocolate to go with that...not the healthiest eater, I know. I think I could live on junk food. Oh, pb with apple is great!

  6. I wish I could crave something healthy EVER! Usually it's diet coke, dark chocolate or Moose Tracks Ice cream :)

  7. For special occasions I make popcorn on the stove, but for normal stuff - Cheeze-Its!

  8. I always crave cereal late at night - I just love cereal (I know it is a little weird) Popcorn always tastes good - but I never crave it. I am following you back from Friday Follow!

  9. My favorite movie snack food is swedish fish or sour gummy bears. Thanks so much for stopping by & for the follow!
