It's Loud

Lately, it's been noisy around here.

Construction. Renovations. World cup fever. You get the picture, right?

Everywhere I go, it's loud.

Yes, I realize the kids are excited that it's summer, and that school is almost over. But does that mean they have to run wildly around the house, or play Nintendo with their voices drowning out the television set?

Mr.O cannot watch a soccer game without having to crank up the volume.

I'm very concerned for their hearing especially the boys. I don't allow them to wear a headset when they play computer games, or listen to music.

It's a battle to keep noise levels down. I like my peace and quiet.

"Turn down the volume."

"Huh? What did you say?"

Even though, they heard me the second time, the silence won't last long.

And with all this racket, it's hard to think. To write.

It's going to be a long summer.

That's why I'll be posting more pictures for the summer vacation. I hope you don't mind. (I love taking pictures with my new camera!)

I'll still write, however, I'll just be posting at weird hours.

  1. I can't even remember what quiet sounds like!!

  2. I love to look at pictures! Post away! Have a great vacation! Hope you get a little peace and quiet. I get mine by getting up earlier than everyone else! Yawn.

  3. I know exactly what you mean. My husband actually has a hearing problem that was caused by being in the Navy surrounded by loud machinery all the time, so he actually can't hear well. He likes to have the tv turned to volume 13 when he's home and when he is not home I have it on volume 8. I like the quiet, I am a quiet person and I like calm. My daughter seems to have the same energetic personality as my husband (who also has ADHD) so my peaceful times are when she is napping :)

  4. Thank you for coming by and following my blog!

It's loud in my house too. My kids don't know how to be quiet. they get it from my hubby and his family. I've never seen people walk so loudly in my life. They even breathe loud.

  5. I'm following you, will you follow me?
