A Weekend of Celebrations

Last Friday it was J.P's birthday but the celebrations didn't stop there. We also celebrated my niece's birthday, Father's Day and our 12th wedding anniversary over the weekend.

After A.R's guitar lessons on Saturday, we headed out west to London, Ontario. My cousin's daughter turned one, and was having a birthday party. We hadn't seen them in a long time, and a visit was long overdue. It was a three-hour trip - I must say it was a scenic and adventurous drive; we ended up getting lost but we managed to find our way. Whew! Luckily, the boys are used to long driving! Upon arriving, it didn't take long for J.P to find the bouncing castle! The boys had fun playing pirates, video games and filled their bellies with ice cream cake, snow cones and cotton candy.

And on Sunday, the festivities continued with a birthday/anniversary lunch party with our families. Here's J.P and his uncle at our favorite Chinese restaurant. We watched and cheered the World Cup soccer matches during lunch.

Now, I'm exhausted after a busy weekend of celebrations. I'm going to take a few days off to recuperate; I'm feeling sick and need some time to rest. And to think it's the last week of school for the boys. Imagine what next week will be like?
