I don't recall a time when I heard these words from my boys.
"Mommy, I love my new hoodie, and shirt. So cool."
Could I be dreaming? I never knew little boys liked clothes.
It's picture day at J.P's school, and I have never seen him so excited.
What else did he have for breakfast? I could have sworn I gave him toast and jam!
I look at him, and realize he can't button his pants. He grew again! I rush to the bedroom, and hand him another pair of jeans.
He runs to my bedroom and gazes into the mirror. I giggle as he strikes several poses. He wishes to go to school now. What? Since when did he want to go to school? I tell him that he would just have to wait for his older brother to go on the bus first.
On our way to school, J.P is beaming. He insisted on wearing no light jacket. Good grief!
When we arrive at the school yard, I see girls twirling in their fancy dresses, and a few boys wearing dress shirts and pants. A little too formal for school pictures but they did look very cute.
If there is one thing I know for certain, boys don't want clothes for gifts; they'd rather have toys or games but for picture day, it's all good!
