Supermarket Mayhem

My boys are well-behaved in school, in church and in restaurants.

They also do extremely well in formal settings like weddings.

But when we take them shopping - it's a disaster!

Why must they run around amok in every aisle? Chasing each other other, laughing out loud and paying no attention to other shoppers.

I just don't understand.

I pull aside my eldest boy, and give my youngest a menacing glare. Somewhere in the pasta section, I begin the lecture.

Blah, blah, blah.

A.R's blank stare says it all.

Will this supermarket mayhem ever end?

  1. Ha ha ha
You know Mel, I've seen a lot of little boys behaving this way in the supermarkets. Little bunches of energy :P

  2. Kids will always be kids but it's fun having them around. They are in the process of growing up, thus having full curiousities of whatever they see around them.

  3. I can relate to this, have a 5 yr old son who exactly behaves the same way at the toys section in the supermarket, else he'll be wheeling away the trolley, while I watch perplexed. Its a gr8 idea to grab a quick energy bar before going shopping with kids ;) All this drains our energy and tests our patience but a few years down the line, we'll be recollecting pleasant memories when our boys are all grown up! have a nice day! :)
